What we do
Each Spring, animal shelters all over the county are inundated with litters of orphaned kittens. Young orphaned kittens need extraordinary care to survive. Kittens must be hand fed from bottles four or more times a day, and after feeding they must be cleaned as their momma cat would clean them so that they can digest their food properly.
Kittens are also vulnerable to disease. They must be socialized with their litter mates and with people and other pets. SDKittens makes extraordinary efforts to prepare our little orphans for their loving forever homes. We stay up all night with sick kittens and make sure they have all the love and care they need to grow up healthy.
Our kittens are spayed and/or neutered and have been vaccinated against disease. We do our best to make sure these babies get the best start in life.
Please help us reach our funding goal in 2009 by making a donation now.
How to adopt
Please submit your application online. A volunteer will be in touch with you to ask questions, discuss the adoption process, and set up meetings with our kittens!
